Tracking every load of wheat from the gate to the mill

Wheat reaches Naga's mills by the truckload, in different varieties and qualities. Every vehicle has to be logged at the gate, weighed, checked for quality and matched to the right purchase order, and the wheat then has to be tracked by lot through the silos to the mill.

With that many hand-offs between security, the weighbridge, quality control and stores, the team needed one system that showed where every load was and kept the record straight.

PurchasePro follows the whole movement. Security logs vehicles in and out with trip sheets and colour tokens, and the gate camera captures an image of each vehicle. Weights come straight from the weighbridge into the system.

Quality control records the variety and quality of each load, and stock is tracked by lot from silo to mill, including relotting with approvals. Purchase orders and market rates come from SAP, and the same system also handles courier inward and outward and warehouse movements.
